There are few Honda models more iconic than the S2000 and a rather interesting used example recently came across our radar but for some, it may be a little over-the-top.
This particular S2000 is a 2000 model, meaning it is an AP1-generation. This iteration is appreciated for its use of a 2.0-liter naturally-aspirated four-cylinder revving all the way to 8,900 rpm and offers up one of the best bang-for-your-buck driving experiences. However, the engine of this S2000 hasn’t been left stock.

In fact, it has been equipped with a Vortech supercharger, a Koyorad aluminum radiator, and an Invidia header and test pipe. While the Bring a Trailer listing doesn’t reveal how much power the car has, we suspect it is pumping out well over 300 hp, plenty for a sports car of this size with a six-speed manual transmission that drives the rear wheels.
The exterior of the Honda is bathed in New Formula Red and features a body-color removable hardtop but will also be sold with the original black cover that goes on top of the soft top in its retracted position. It is also rocking a set of bronze 17-inch Voln CE28N wheels wrapped in 255/40 Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 tires from 2013, meaning they will definitely need to be changed. A Comptech strut bar has also been installed.
As for the interior, it is largely stock and is therefore clad in black leather and features a push-button ignition, keyless entry, climate control, cruise control, and original S2000 floor mats. A Voodoo shift knob has been installed.
While we’re sure that some in the market for an S2000 would prefer one that is completely stock, this car is especially desirable given the fact that it has only ever been driven 19,000 miles (30,577 km). Removing the supercharger and returning the engine back to factory spec also wouldn’t be too difficult.
