The latest LEGO set to be inspired by a vintage car is based on the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28. It comes with a range of customizable features, stunning details, and more.

“With its classic lines and sleek design, the 1969 Camaro Z28 is unrivalled in its elegance—which is why it was such a wonderful inspiration for this LEGO design,” said Sven Franic, LEGO designer. “By building this set, you can envision yourself at the wheel, and all but feel the rumble of the engine taking you down an open road.”

Available only in black, the set gives buyers the option to top the look off with one of three stripe colors. Sold with white, gray, and red stripes, you’ll be able to choose what color combo looks best to you.

In addition to the coloring, builders will be able to choose between the Camaro coupe and convertible, because the set is designed to look like either one, depending on your mood. Finally, you’ll have to decide whether you want to show it off with classic or hideaway headlights.

Beyond being customizable, though, the set is also highly detailed. Containing 1,458 pieces, the completed model measures 14-inches (36 cm) in length, 3.5-inches (10 cm) in height, and 5.5-inches (14 cm) in width. That’s enough room not only for a highly detailed engine but swinging doors, an opening trunk, as well as a working steering wheel.

“The 1969 Camaro Z28 has been turning heads on and off the roads for decades, which is why we are so proud to see it come to life in a brand-new way via LEGO bricks,” said Harlan Charles, Chevrolet Camaro product marketing manager. “Anyone who loves the iconic design of the 1969 Camaro Z28 now has the thrill of building this set and displaying it in their home.”

Hitting LEGO’s online store on August 1, collectors and builders alike will be able to buy this set for $/€169.99.
