In drag racing circles, they don’t come much scarier than the McLaren 720S. We’ve seen it demolish less or equally-powerful supercars, and lay down the law against more powerful ones as well.
So unless you’re packing a Porsche 918, or something on that level, odds are you won’t even keep up with the Woking Wonder. It’s just THAT quick.
The Tesla Model 3 on the other hand, currently needs a little over four and a half seconds to hit 60 mph (96 km/h), according to Vbox data recorded by one of its owners back in January. There will however be a faster version in the future, with Ludicrous mode, and that one should put up a really good fight against pretty much anything, at least off the line.
As for this particular car, it ran the 1/4 mile in 13.58 seconds at 102.04 mph (164 km/h), though not before hitting 60 mph (96 km/h) in 4.6 seconds and 100 mph (161 km/h) in 12.3 seconds.
Meanwhile, the McLaren 720S ran a 9.92-second quarter mile, at 140.65 mph (226 km/h). It got to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds and 100 mph in 5.1 seconds. It also covered 60-130 mph (96-209 km/h) in a blistering 5.3 seconds. Naturally, the only all-electric saloon that could ever hope to get close to those numbers wears an S instead of a 3 on its trunk lid.
