Porsche is celebrating 50 years in Taiwan with the aptly named, if wordy, 911 Carrera GTS-50 Year Anniversary One of a Kind.

The one-off model was created by Porsche Taiwan and Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur to pay tribute to the island as well as the very first model that was sold in Taiwan in 1972.

While that particular car was a Lizard Green 911E, the special edition is based on the 911 GTS and features an Irish Green exterior with a Matte White outline of the Formosa coastline on the doors. The model has also been equipped with matte black badging as well as central locking Turbo S Exclusive Design wheels that are painted black and have an Irish Green accent.

The special touches continue in the cabin as there are unique door sill plates and badging on the passenger-side dashboard that reads “911 Carrera GTS 50 Years Porsche in Taiwan.” The model also sports a special center console lid as well as black leather and Alcantara seats with white contrast stitching.

Since the special edition is based on the 911 GTS, it presumably features a twin-turbo 3.0-liter boxer engine that develops 473 hp (353 kW / 480 PS) and 420 lb-ft (569 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to an eight-speed PDK transmission, which sends power to the rear wheels. This setup enables cars equipped with the Sport Chrono Package to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 3.2 seconds.

The 911 Carrera GTS-50 Year Anniversary One of a Kind will be auctioned off in the coming months and proceeds will benefit Porsche Taiwan’s Dream Together charity partners, in order to “express gratitude for the local community and paying it forward to the Taiwanese society.”
