Lamborghini launched a dizzying array of variants during the Gallardo’s production but one of the most iconic is certainly the original pre-facelifted Superleggera.
While numerous lightweight versions of the Gallardo were introduced, the Superleggera was the first of them. This particular example is one of just 172 examples that were built for the U.S. market during the car’s one-year production run. It is finished in Giallo Midas and is being offered in Nevada with manufacturer’s literature, a tool kit, service records, battery tender, car cover, two keys, a clean Carfax report, and a clean South Dakota title.
The Bring a Trailer listing reveals that the car was first registered in Florida and is equipped with the optional carbon fiber rear wing. While the seller notes that there are some paint chips and scratches across the exterior, including the right side skirt, engine cover, and rear diffuser, the car appears to be in relatively good condition.

Perfectly complementing the lightweight design philosophy of the car are the original 19-inch Scorpius wheels wrapped in 235/35 front and 295/30 rear Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires.
A look inside the interior reveals seats that are trimmed in black Alcantara with yellow accents and contrast stitching. A dizzying array of carbon fiber trimmings are also found throughout the cabin as are a number of amenities including dual-zone climate control, power windows, and an infotainment system with a rear-view camera and navigation.
Famously powering the original Gallardo Superleggera is a 5.0-liter naturally aspirated V10 that was good for 523 hp and 376 lb-ft (510 Nm) of torque when new. This engine is coupled to a six-speed E-gear transmission that sends power through all four wheels. The listing reveals the car has been driven 22,000 miles (~35,400 km) since leaving the factory.
