The redesigned Ford Mustang will be unveiled in downtown Detroit on September 14th, and the teaser campaign for the highly anticipated model is starting to ramp up.
After showing a prototype at the Woodward Dream Cruise, Ford has now released a teaser video of the car’s roaring V8 engine. Needless to say, it stands in stark contrast to the controversial noise pumped out by the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT concept.
Ford is keeping details under wraps, but spy photographers have snapped the 2024 Mustang on multiple occasions and it’s slated to have an edgier design with a more aggressive front fascia. The model is also expected to have streamlined styling that looks a little sleeker, but is still instantly recognizable.

While prototypes have been heavily camouflaged, we’ve already gotten a revealing look inside and drivers can expect a digital instrument cluster that flows into an all-new infotainment system. They’ll be joined by a modern dashboard, updated switchgear, and higher quality materials.
The redesigned Mustang is slated to go into production next year and reports have suggested the turbocharged 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder could be tuned to produce around 320 hp (239 kW / 324 PS). The 5.0-liter V8 will also make a return and rumors have suggested some variants could have around 500 hp (373 kW / 507 PS).
Ford has also confirmed plans for a hybrid pony car, but we haven’t heard much about it since the model was announced in 2018. However, at the time, the company said it would be “all about delivering V8-like performance with more low-end torque.”
