2023 Ram Truck Lineup Gains New Digital Instrument Cluster, Luxurious Limited Elite Edition

The 2023 model year updates continue rolling in and Ram has announced an assortment of changes to the 1500, 2500, and 3500 pickups.

Starting with the 2023 Ram 1500, there’s a new Limited Elite Edition that aims to be one of the most luxurious trucks on the market. As part of this effort, it comes equipped with premium leather bucket front seats that feature heating and ventilation as well as 12-way power adjustment.

Buyers will also find a heated steering wheel, a suede headliner, and a jeweled rotary shifter. Other highlights include a bright pedal kit and a “unique instrument cluster theme.”

While the cabin says luxury, the rest of the truck is focused on practicality as it comes equipped with a deployable bed step, a bed extender, and a multifunction tailgate. The truck also sports a cargo divider and four adjustable cargo tie-down hooks.

The other big update for 2023 is the addition of a newly available 12-inch digital instrument cluster. The company only released a few pictures, but said the “full-color cluster features five reconfigurable tiles for at-a-glance data, or quick and easy access to the most used information.” Drivers will also be able to choose between analog or digital displays.

Furthermore, the Ram 1500 Rebel now includes Selec-Speed Control as standard equipment, while Selec-Speed Control is now available via the Back Country and Off-Road Group packages (depending on the model). All models also gain Rear-Seat Reminder Alert and a LED hitch light located in the tailgate handle.

Other updates include an Emergency Vehicle Alert system on models equipped with the 12-inch Uconnect 5 infotainment system as well as a revamped Ram 1500 (RAM)RED Edition that now features a UV-C glove box light that promises to kill bacteria via a “three-minute hygiene cycle.”

On the Heavy Duty side, the Ram 2500 and 3500 can now be equipped with the aforementioned digital instrument cluster. Buyers will also find a newly available digital rearview mirror with side camera integration.

Customers can also get a new Trailer Reverse Steering Control system that enables drivers to “simply rotate the dial left or right in the direction you want the trailer to go while the system controls the steering wheel.”

Rounding out the updates are a new Mopar sport performance hood for Laramie and Limited variants as well as next-generation trailer tow mirrors with a telescoping capability. The models also benefit from “camera system enhancements, including the new Trailer Tow pages app, multiple view modes, behind-trailer view and blind-spot view.”
