The Chrysler 300 is getting a mysterious special edition for 2023, so a new teaser is raising eyebrows as the company is promising to bring “the power in 2023.”

While many would be quick to assume the teaser is a nod to the Airflow EV, it comes less than a week after the announcement of the special edition 300. As we reported on Friday, the model is expected to serve as a final tribute to the once popular sedan which is slated to go out of production next year.

That remains to be seen, but Dodge is releasing a flurry of “Last Call” Chargers and Challengers to celebrate their final year in production. It’s natural to assume Chrysler is also planning a special send off and the “power” reference will undoubtedly get fans thinking of a Hellcat-powered 300.

That might be wishful thinking, but Chrysler isn’t a stranger to high-performance 300s as they used to offer an SRT variant with a 6.4-liter V8 pumping out 470 hp (350 kW / 477 PS) and 470 lb-ft (637 Nm) of torque. That’s a bit less than the 2023 Charger Scat Pack, which has 485 hp (362 kW / 492 PS) and 475 lb-ft (644 Nm) of torque, but significantly more than the current 5.7-liter HEMI V8 that cranks out 363 hp (271 kW / 368 PS) and 394 lb-ft (534 Nm) of torque.

Of course, there’s always a possibility that the announcement is EV-related as the company has an assortment of eco-friendly models on the horizon. That being said, we could find out shortly as Chrysler is holding an event on September 13th, ahead of the North American International Auto Show.

Update: Chrysler has confirmed a special edition will debut on September 13.
