Besides its record-hunting hypercar, Hennessey is known for delivering six-wheeled conversions of trucks with monstrous power. The latest example is the new generation of the VelociRaptor 6×6, based on the Ford F-150 Raptor.
It all started with the VelociRaptor 6×6 in 2017 but since the new gen VelociRaptor was presented a few months ago we expected the three-axle version to arrive. Besides the third pair of wheels and the extended rear bed, the conversion includes a series of chassis upgrades making it even more capable in any kind of terrain.

Hennessey equipped the truck with Fox suspension on the dual locking rear axles, adding a three-inch lift kit. This, in combination with the 20-inch wheels shod in 37-inch off-road tires, results in a massive ground clearance, making the Velociraptor taller than the already impressive factory-spec F-150 Raptor. Other visual traits include custom front and rear bumpers, an integrated protective bullbar and an extra LED bar.
Besides the extreme road presence, the Velociraptor 6×6 is also more practical than the regular F-150 thanks to the larger loading area at the back. More specifically, the bed measures 8 feet (2.4 m) long, instead of the stock model’s 5.5 feet (1.67 m), holding up 45 percent more volume.

Just like the four-wheeled Velociraptor, the 6×6 variant is fitted with a modified version of the twin-turbo 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine producing 558 hp (416 kW / 566 PS) and 672 lb-ft (911 Nm) of torque. This represents a healthy increase over the 450 hp (336 kW / 456 PS) and 510 lb-ft (691 Nm) of the stock version, made possible thanks to a high-capacity intercooler with a blow-off valve, a new air induction, and upgraded software. It is however far less than the 1,012 hp (755 kW / 1,026 PS) of the rival Mammoth 6×6 TRX.
The first example of the Hennessey VelociRaptor 6×6 was already delivered in early September and the company is taking orders for more builds. The cost for a full vehicle is $399,950, including the donor car. If you are in the market for a six-wheeler, Hennessey has got you covered, offering the RAM-based Mammoth 6×6 TRX and the Silverado-based Goliath 6×6.
