Briggs Automotive Company, better known as BAC, is throwing down the artistic gauntlet for the Sleeping With Art: The Art of Cars event in October. It has turned its supercar, the Mono, into a canvas for artists to paint on.
The BAC Art Car Challenge is open to artists of all stripes, who can enter by downloading a template and creating their masterpiece. The car can then be viewed on a BAC Mono Configurator to see how it works in three dimensions, and then submitted for entry into the competition.
Artists must submit their artwork by October 22 at paperlegend.com. Approved works will be displayed on at the show. They will also be turned into NFTs and the buyers of these digital tokens will receive a 1:6 scale model that they can build.

While the artists will get a cut of the revenue from the sale, the new owners will get exclusive rights to the design on future art pieces. That includes the opportunity to commission a real BAC Mono Art Car with the design.

A full size art car has already been built for the Sleeping With Art: The Art of Cars event, produced in association with Rene Turrek. It will be displayed at the event alongside a blank white Mono to serve as inspiration for buyers and artists.
Sleeping With Art: The Art of Cars will take place at Hedsor House in Buckinghamshire from October 25-26, and will showcase the latest creative initiatives between automakers and artists. The show will present sculptures, paintings, collages, photos, NFTs, and, of course, art cars.
