When we hear about crazy-expensive Nissan GT-Rs, we often assume the car was a well-preserved R32, R33, or R34 GT-R. But that’s not the case with this R-35 GT-R, which sold for a whopping $205,000 on Bring A Trailer.
To put that into perspective, despite only costing $70,000 when it debuted back in 2007, Nissan was charging around $115,000 for a base GT-R by the end of its production run. For comparison, the limited-edition T-Spec retailed for around $140,000, and this one, which has just 145 miles on its odo, went for around $60,000 more than that.

With that being said, after doing a bit of digging, it seems that this isn’t all that uncommon for the special GT-R. In fact, some examples are going for $20,000 to $50,000 more than this one sold for at auction.
Nevertheless, this is a special car that will likely become a collector’s item one day, so buyers are likely viewing it as somewhat of an investment. This is an end-of-the line car for the GT-R as we know it, as if it gets renewed for another generation, it will almost feature at least some form of electrification (assuming it gets renewed at all).

The car also is also one of 100 and has some pretty unique options over the standard GT-R. Aside from the special badging and engine cover, the car is painted in Nissan’s iconic Midnight Purple paint and it features a Mori Green leather interior. Elsewhere, there are gold Rays wheels framing a set of bright yellow brake calipers.
Of course, on top of everything else, the GT-R T-Spec is still a proper sports car, and it comes with an engine to match. The 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 pumps out 565 hp (573 PS / 421 kW) and 467 lb-ft (633 Nm) of torque, so whatever the reason for buying, you won’t be disappointed with the performance.
