Alpine published the first teaser of the Alpenglow, a striking concept that will debut on October 13 as a sign of things to come. The French automaker said that the Alpenglow showcases the design and technology that will be applied in future Alpine models, both for the road and for the track.
The single photo shows a low-slung hypercar with red-colored headlights, an aerodynamic greenhouse, and tall fenders sticking out of the body. We can also see the large splitter and a rear spoiler hiding at the back. The silhouette reminds us of the recently revealed Alpine A480 IED-designed concept but the Alpenglow looks sharper and more aggressive.

Overall, the concept resembles an exotic track-focused machine coming from the future, and we are really excited to learn more about its specs. Alpine was coy on details but it is safe to assume that the concept will come with powerful electric motors.
According to the company, the name Alpenglow “refers to a luminous phenomenon in which a horizontal streak of red-tinged light appears on the mountains before sunrise and after sunset”. This is an analogy for the mission of the concept which is to preview the dawn of a new era for the brand. Styling cues from the Alpenglow will most likely find their way into the fully electric successor of the A110 and the high-riding GT-X Over, although in a toned-down fashion.
Following the digital premiere of the Alpine Alpenglow on October 13, the concept will make its public debut at the 2022 Paris Motor Show on October 17. Alpine’s stand in Paris will also host the A110 R which is the most hardcore version of the ICE-powered sporstcar.
