For its stand at the 2022 SEMA show, Lexus brought six concepts to the show that run the gamut from heavily modified sports cars, to overlanding SUVs, and everything in between.

DSPORT IS 600+ Project Build

This concept started out as an IS 350 F Sport and now makes more than 600 hp (447 kW/608 PS). The extra power comes thanks to a pair of billet compressor wheel turbos that help feed more air into the 3.5-liter V35A V6 engine sourced from an LS 500.

It also gets a Samsonas full-sequential six-speed transmission with paddle shifters, a stiffer chassis, a four-point roll cage, and KW Double adjustable coilovers to help the Michelin rubber keep contact with the road. Braking duties, meanwhile, are handled by carbon ceramic brakes borrowed from the Lexus RC F. In order to cut weight, the rear seats were removed, the hood was replaced by a Seibon carbon fiber unit, and an Artisan Spirits widebody kit and 19-inch VOLK racing wheels help round out the look.

LX 600 Urban Concept

For this concept, Lexus decided to show how multifaceted the LX 600 can be by modifying the SUV specifically for the street. Built by Annex Marketing, it has a lighter, more grounded look thanks to an Artisan Spirits multi-piece body kit with color-matched paint and exposed carbon fiber. It sits on HRE 540 Series wheels whose centers are finished in Satin Bronze and outers are finished in Gloss Black. A custom titanium exhaust and gloss black Brembo brakes finish the look off.

LX 600 Alpine Lifestyle Concept

Once again demonstrating the SUV’s range, this concept focuses on luxury, refinement, and capability. Designed and curated by Hiraku Co., it features “realistic enhancement” for hikers, such as Dissent Off-road Body Armor System, JAOS Carbon Fiber Over Fenders, Rigid Industries lighting, and Vossen HF6-4 hybrid forged 20×9.5 Anthracite wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich all-terrain T/A KO2 tires.

Up top, it gets a Dissent Off-road 5052 Aluminum Rack System that serves as a platform for even more gear, YETI LoadOut GoBoxes, YETI Tundra coolers, and YETI Trailhead Camp Chairs. Inside, a TrekBoxx Expedition System helps owners store gear even more efficiently, and provides a great tailgating experience with galley space for prepping cocktails.

GX 460 Overland Concept

Lexus partnered with Cruiser Outfitters for the GX 460 Overland concept, which features an Old Man Emu suspension for more ground clearance, Toyo Open Country MT tires, a front CBI bumper, a Warn winch mounting, and more.

The rear cargo area buildout features Goose Gear drawers, Kaon racks, an ARB fridge, a Prinsu roof rack, and a Yakima roof tent. With plenty of lighting, the concept is perfect for camping and off-roading.

RX 500h F Sport Performance AWD

Making its SEMA debut, the RX 500 F Sport features a matte violet metallic wrap, 22-inch Rays Engineering Homura 2x15BD wheels, and Michelin Pilot Sport tires. All the modifications are intended to highlight the vehicle, which is Lexus’s best-selling crossover.

Lexus Electrified Sport

Also making its SEMA debut is the Lexus Electrified Sport concept. Shown off at many locations over the course of this year, the car symbolizes the brand’s next chapter. With a range of more than 430 miles (692 km) and a 0-60 mph (96 km/h) time in the low two-second range, the production car that emerges from this concept should be awfully impressive.
