Various new images of the upcoming Hongqi H6 have surfaced online as the automaker readies it for an introduction into the Chinese market.
We caught our first glimpse of the H6 back in late October shortly before it was expected to make its public debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show in November. However, the Guangzhou launch never eventuated, leaving us with many unanswered questions about the car. At least four prototype examples have now been snapped.
The H6 adopts a sleek profile that includes striking headlights with pronounced LEDs and Hongqi’s large red symbol running from the black grille to the center of the hood. Further adding to the design of the sedan include a sloping roofline with thick body-colored D-pillars.

The rear-end of the H6 is perhaps its most intriguing angle. The upper taillight section consists of an LED light bar stretching the width of the rear while positioned below it are two further LED taillight units. Hongqi’s designers have also crafted a particularly flowing rear bumper, diffuser, and twin tailpipes exiting from the center of the rear.
Car News China reports that the H6 will hit the market with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine offered in 221 hp and 248 hp guises.
Three other prototypes were also recently spied. One of these can be seen sporting an attractive matte grey paint scheme while two others were snapped at a factory parking lot. One of these was painted in a simple shade of silver while the other has a bold turquoise shade that would no doubt turn plenty of heads on the street.
It is understood that Hongqi will officially launch the H6 in China before the end of December. Pricing details are not yet known.
