Polestar has collaborated with fellow Swedish company CAKE to launch a limited-edition variant of the Makka electric moped that the two companies first unveiled in 2021.
The Polestar variant of the pre-existing Cake Makka modifies the looks of the last-mile commuter vehicle to complement the design of the Polestar 2. In the standard model (pictured below), this includes the fitment of a unique slim headlight, black detailing, and a rear Ohlins damper painted in gold. The original model proved to be an instant success and quickly sold out.

This new limited-edition variant ditches the Snow Matte finish of the original in favor of a new Sky blue color, first introduced with the stunning Polestar 02 Electric Roadster Concept that will spawn a new model dubbed the Polestar 6.
The new version of the Cake Makka also adds a detachable rear carrier to improve cargo carrying and allow users to transport things like boxes, racks, and even a rear passenger seat.
Polestar believes that the Makka can play an important role in helping a commuter complete the last mile of a journey. When first launching its version of the Makka last year, Polestar said owners of the all-electric 2 sedan could park it at a charging station on the outskirts of a city center and then use the Makka to complete their journey.
Those looking to purchase the new Cake Makka Polestar edition can do so through the Polestar Additionals webshop for £4,350 ($5,299). It is sold with two ride modes for extended range or balanced performance and has a top speed of 45 km/h (27.9 mph).
