Authorities report that three people were injured at a Cars and Coffee event in Texas this weekend after a driver lost control of his car. Video footage of the incident that was shared on the Official_Stro YouTube channel shows that the driver of a black sixth-generation Chevrolet Corvette was behind the injuries after they lost control of their vehicle accelerating away from the event.
In the clip, dozens of people can be seen lined up along the side of the Highway 114 service road, in Trophy Club, Texas, a suburb of Dallas-Fort Worth. Another vehicle (a McLaren) leaves the event just ahead of the Chevrolet, and can be heard accelerating away from the crowd.
The Corvette then follows, and starts accelerating into the left lane. The back end then steps out, and the car drives into the crowd of onlookers. Although the crowd began dispersing as the car approached, not all were able to get out of the way in time, and the Corvette hit several people.

Keller police, which serves the area, said that the incident occurred just before 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, December 17, reports WFAA. According to the authorities, three people were injured by the Corvette, two of them teens.
Police said that a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old were among the injured but, unfortunately, their condition is not known at this time. Witnesses say, though, that one of the victims appeared to hit her head against the Corvette’s windshield, while another injured their leg. Both were allegedly put on a stretcher by first responders.
Police say that although the Corvette has been impounded, no charges have been filed yet. The accident is a sobering reminder, though, of how easy it is to lose control of a high-power vehicle and how serious the consequences can be when pedestrians are around.
It’s not just Mustang owners who need to be careful.
