Bentley’s exclusive Mulliner division has ended 2022 by unveiling a one-of-one Flying Spur S Hybrid, the 500th vehicle commissioned and built through Mulliner this year.
The Mulliner Design team operates in the automaker’s styling studio and allows customers to order their new Bentley models with unique finishes and features not ordinarily available. Mulliner has also been responsible for producing the special Batur and the Blower Continuation Series.
The special Flying Spur S Hybrid that just left the Bentley factory is finished in Spark, a striking new shade of blue. It also features Blackline specification exterior brightwork, sits on 22-inch ten-spoke Sports wheels finished in black, and also has an illuminated Flying B also finished in black.
Mulliner’s unique touches continue into the cabin of the car where there is a combination of monochromatic high gloss carbon fiber veneer as well as diamond-quilted Beluga hide upholstery. Also helping to make a statement are Klein Blue accents throughout and polished metal air vents.

“Reaching the milestone 500th Commission in a year would not have been possible without the ongoing support of both the main Bentley Design Studio and all the other functions of the wider Mulliner Team,” Mulliner and & Motorsport chief commercial officer Paul Dickenson said. “2021 had already been a record year for Mulliner Design that saw the team needing to grow by 50% to meet customer demands and in 2022 that team has really been tested as it has seen a year-on-year increase of 85% in customer / retailer commissions. Their hard work, dedication and passion to each and every one of these commissions means that we have never had such beautiful examples of personalisation leaving Crewe.”
Two of Bentley’s most striking Mulliner commissioned this year was a Continental GT ordered by Bentley Tampa Bay and a Continental GT Convertible commissioned by Bentley Naples. The first is adorned in a Marlin blue satin paint finish and includes polished steel brightwork. Meanwhile, the Continental GT Convertible from Bentley Naples in Florida has a solid Arctica White finish and a Dragonfly Blue pinstripe around the edges of the bodykit.
