A used-car dealer in Volo, IL has a very lightly used Chevrolet Corvette Z06 available right now. Of course, to pick it up you’ll need to be willing to fork over $375,000. That’s right, this ‘used’ C8 Corvette Z06 costs more than a Ferrari 296 GTB.
That’s notable for a number of reasons not least of which is the fact that this specific car’s MSRP is $148,495. At VoloCars asking price, this Corvette is 252 percent above what Chevrolet itself says it’s worth. It’s worth noting too that this isn’t a C8 with all of the bells and whistles as it’s missing the highly-desirable Z07 Performance package.
Hilariously, it seems as though whoever is responsible for the copywriting over at Volo Cars didn’t realize what the asking price was. They write in the ad, “the Z06 is on par with foreign super car costing more money.” Grammatical errors aside, that statement is only true if they’re only considering supercars that cost more than $375,000.

Interestingly, it seems as though the wild pricing has stoked the ire of the internet. Not long after GMAuthority spotted the markup, the story began to gain traction on Reddit and now, the price is no longer listed at Volocars.com. The whole situation seems a bit fishy when we dive into the details too.
According to the listing, the car is technically used but has “under 25 miles” on the odometer. It’s also located in Georgia, not Illinois where Volocars is based. It came to be on their site because, as Volocars puts it, “a collector/customer of ours was one of the very few that was actually able to take delivery before production stopped.”
Certainly, it seems odd that a ‘collector’ would want to ditch a car of this rarity so quickly after purchase. Is this a scam aimed at getting around Chevrolet’s condemnation of dealers that markup desirable models like the C8? Is it a vehicle that the dealer wants to keep so they’re pricing out anybody but those silly enough to pay so much? We don’t know but we can think of a lot more to do with $375k than buy this thing.
