There’s no denying the GMC Hummer is a vehicle of extremes, with 1,000 hp (1,014 PS / 746 kW), a 9,063-lb (4,111 kg) curb weight, and a 0-60 mph (0-97 km/h) time of just 3 seconds. However, South Florida Customs (SoFlo Customs) managed to take the truck one step further, and they did so by coating the entire exterior in Kevlar.

Called the SoFlo Strikeforce, the modified Hummer starts at an eye-watering $219,000, which thankfully at least appears to include the cost of the donor vehicle. For those who have already shelled out the $110,295 minimum for a Hummer EV Edition 1, SoFlo mentions you can also bring in your existing vehicle to be converted into a Strikeforce.

Kevlar-Coated GMC Hummer EV Is An Absolute Tank Of A Truck

The highlight of this conversion is the three-part “Army Green” exterior coating, which is comprised of epoxy fused with Kevlar fibers. There’s no word of this coating offering the Hummer any bulletproofing, but they do mention that it helps defend the truck from things like rocks, branches, and other “off-road projectiles”. Additional upgrades come in the form of a 4-inch suspension lift, massive 38-inch tires, and new 20-inch wheels, which supposedly still work with the Hummer’s trick “CrabWalk” feature.

The changes also don’t stop with the exterior, as new marine-grade brown and black upholstery keeps the cabin weatherproof when the truck’s T-top roof panels are removed. For future iterations of the Strikeforce, SoFlo plans on equipping the truck with an armored front windshield, a “slantback” bed cap, and a push bar in front of the grille to really lean into the military-inspired look that’s already present with the current version.

“I couldn’t be more proud to introduce our version of the baddest factory truck on the planet – the Hummer EV,” said Joseph Ghattas, owner, engineer and head designer of South Florida Customs. “While there is nothing that quite sounds like a freshly dropped Hemi Hellcat in one of our Jeeps, this Hummer EV delivers steering-wheel clenching power to unprecedented levels. It was such a fun project that we have already ordered a second and third Hummer EV to continue our Strikeforce conversions.”
