The Chrysler 300C made a triumphant return at the North American International Auto Show and reservations filled up in 12 hours.
The automaker then opened a waiting list, but it appears that is now full as the company recently tweeted “At this time 2023 Chrysler 300C reservations are no longer being accepted. All reservations are currently full.”
While that’s a bit confusing since reservations were already full, it appears the ship has finally sailed and those who haven’t secured either a reservation or a spot on the waiting list will have to turn to the second-hand market, where the Chrysler 300C will likely command a hefty premium over the car’s $55,000 sticker.

Of course, it might be worth it as the special edition is a high-performance, last hurrah for the Chrysler 300. It builds on the legacy of the old SRT variant and features a 6.4-liter HEMI V8 pumping out 485 hp (362 kW / 492 PS) and 475 lb-ft (644 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission, which enables the model to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 4.3 seconds, run the quarter mile in 12.4 seconds, and hit a top speed of 160 mph (257 km/h).
Besides being faster and more powerful than the 300S V8, the special edition features tinted lighting units, black chrome trim, a rear spoiler, and 20-inch forged wheels that are wrapped in all-season performance tires. The latter are backed up by a four-piston Brembo braking system and buyers will also find a limited-slip differential and an adaptive damping suspension.
Chrysler will only offer 2,000 units in the United States, while the 300C will be even rarer in its home country of Canada where just 200 units will be available.
