We’re looking ahead with excited eyes at 2023. There are a number of great cars on the horizon but today, we’re looking at the ones that deserve to head off into the sunset. Which car should be put out of its misery in 2023?

A few that are leaving production are actually still pretty popular. Namely, we think of the Durango Hellcat, the Charger, and the Challenger from Dodge. Sure, those vehicles might be pretty long in the tooth but Chrysler continues to find buyers for them.

Other notable cars leaving the world in 2023 include the excellent Kia Stinger and the ultra-impressive Ford GT supercar. On the other end of the scale, there are a number of cars that should leave production in 2023, but there’s no end in sight for them.

 Name One Car That Should Be Put Out Of Its Misery This Year

It might be easy to just say that all Mitsubishi models should go the way of the dodo. The Mirage just got the axe in Japan and it’s not exactly well-loved here in the USA. On top of that, the somewhat sacrilegious Eclipse Cross might be the most inappropriate and disappointing use of a model name in the country. Still, it’s the one we’d axe over all the others. After all, the Outlander somehow seems like a decent deal.

Domestic automaker Chevrolet could probably do just fine without the Equinox, the Trax, or the Malibu. None of the three offer something seriously compelling that can’t be met with another Chevy in the lineup. We think that there’s probably one car that almost everyone will agree needs to die though.

That car is the Fiat 500X. Don’t get us wrong. We love quirky little cars and especially ones that break from convention. At the same time, this is not the Fiat we nor most consumers seem to want. No reason to wait until 2024, just end it now Fiat. Maybe you’ve got a better pick for us though. Tell us below which car model needs to die in 2023.
