With the launch of Dodge’s new online configurator, shoppers can now spec-out their dream 2023 Hornet.
The Italian SUV (sorry, American SUV…) can currently be configured in GT and GT Plus specification as the plug-in hybrid Hornet R/T has yet to launch. Both the GT and GT Plus feature the same 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder Hurricane4 engine that delivers 268 hp and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque. Coupled to this engine is a nine-speed automatic transmission that drives all four wheels.
We specced out a Hornet GT Plus on the configurator. Among the upgrades it enjoys over the standard model include navigation, a Harman Kardon premium audio system, premium leather interior, ventilated and heated front seats with memory function, a sunroof, power liftgate, and wireless phone charging.
Seven different paint options are available for the Hornet GT Plus with our personal favorite being Blu Bayou, a $495 option. Three wheel options are then available, consisting of 17-inch silver wheels, 18-inch black wheels, and 20-inch black wheels, the latter of which come exclusively with 235/40 all-season tires.
Move to the interior and you will discover that three options are available, consisting of the standard black full-leather seats, black Alcantara seats, or red full-leather seats as a $495 option.
