The new Corvette E-Ray AWD Hybrid is finally here and it’s a bit shocking. It has 655 combined horsepower (488 kW), can do 0-60 mph (98 km/h) in 2.5 seconds, and finish a quarter mile in just 10.5 seconds. It’s literally the fastest accelerating production Corvette ever and now you can configure your own personal version online.
Announced today, the E-Ray utilizes the same 495 hp (369 kW) V8 to power its rear wheels along with a 160 hp (119 kW) electric motor on the front axle. Chevrolet says that it’ll be available later this year and that pricing starts at $104,295, just shy of the Z06. Of course, you’ll need to find a dealer charging MSRP without a markup to achieve that out the door price.
The configurator only has the Coupe version available for now but beyond that, a slew of options are available. As we reported earlier, 14 colors are available at launch. In addition, owners can choose from a body-colored roof, a transparent roof, or a carbon fiber roof. All three are removable and stowable in the trunk.

Owners can add the ZER Performance package with its sticky Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S ZP summer-only tires along with what Chevy says are chassis tuning and “other performance enhancements.” Six different wheel choices are available including three different carbon fiber options. In our testing, adding the carbon wheels with a visible weave kind of broke the configurator though as it sometimes changed our paint color inexplicably.
Interior color options are vast too. Subtle choices like Jet Black are available with different color stitching while brighter colors like Sky Cool Grey, Adrenaline Red, and Two-Tone Blue can add a pop of color for those who want it.
We decided to go with Sea Wolf Gray Tri-Coat as our paint of choice along with a transparent roof, exposed carbon weave wheels, and the ZER package. Inside the cabin, we added Two-Tone Blue upholstery and then combined the Stealth and Carbon Fiber Level 1 packages. We think it’s a great combo for this sneaky-fast car.
