The Ford Bronco is a big sales success for the company. In fact, it’s so popular that the blue-oval brand still struggles to meet the demand. Now, reports say it’s offering buyers $2,500 to pick something other than the Bronco they’ve ordered.
Ford dealers nationwide reportedly received a bulletin saying that 2023 Bronco customers with an existing order (not those buying from dealer stock) have the option to take the $2,500 and put it towards some new Ford models. Included on the list of vehicles that can have the cash applied to them are the Maverick, the Mustang, and the F-150 Tremor.
In fact, those who are willing to swap over to an easier-to-find configuration of the Bronco can use that $2,500 towards said Bronco. Specifically, CarsDirect says that “The 2023-Model Bronco Order Modification incentive pays buyers to modify their existing Bronco order to remove “constrained commodities.”

Those commodities include the desirable Sasquatch Package, the Lux Package with its adaptive cruise control, 10-speaker B&O sound system, integrated navigation, and body-colored hardtops. Specifically, the bulletin tells dealers that order-holders can drop these features to keep their trim. Those who ordered the Wildtrack will have to switch to a different trim though.
It’s worth pointing out that delivering Broncos to customers seemed to be a struggle for Ford. In the past, the company provided all sorts of incentives to keep Bronco owners on the hook as they wait for their SUVs, including sending Bronco-themed outdoor equipment like a hammock to help customers “hang in there” and a backpack.
As recently as only a few months ago, reservation holders were still up in arms over delays that at times lasted for three months or more. Some told us that Ford corporate and its dealers were giving them the run around when questioned about the situation. Hopefully, this new incentive program can ease some of the delivery constraints and more people can get their Bronco more quickly.
