The Volkswagen Group loves apprentice creativity and the latest project will see the Skoda Enyaq iV transformed into a “mobile-office camper.”
29 apprentices are working on the concept and they recently partnered with the Skoda Design team to create initial sketches of the vehicle. It’s designed for digital nomads, who don’t want to be chained to a desk and have the freedom to explore thanks to the surge in work from home opportunities.
Skoda didn’t go into many specifics, but said the concept will use sustainable materials and have state-of-the-art technology as well as “simply clever” features. That isn’t much to go on, but the sketches suggest the electric crossover will be equipped with roof-mounted storage and a unique interior.

The cabin features a drawer, bed, and what appears to be a single rear seat. We can also get a glimpse of a television or monitor, which is mounted on the back of the driver’s seat.
We can expect to learn more about the concept later this year, but Skoda’s head of design, Oliver Stefani, said “We, at Skoda Design, are very happy that, as part of this fantastic project, we can give these young talents such a tangible insight into our everyday work and get them excited about it.” He added, “The Student Car project combines three of Skoda’s great strengths: its can-do attitude, hands-on approach and tremendous team spirit.”
This will be the ninth concept created by students of the Skoda Vocational School as the program started with the Citijet in 2014. Since then, we’ve seen the Funstar pickup and Atero coupe as well as the Sunroq convertible.
