The Tesla Model 3 will get a mid-lifecycle update this year, which may or may not bring changes to its characteristic grille-less duck-face. An owner from Massachusetts proved that he can improve the styling of the electric model, borrowing elements from a Porsche Cayman GT4.

The unconventional marriage looks better than expected, and the resulting vehicle could easily pass for a factory-made, track-focused variant of the Tesla Model 3 if such a thing ever existed. The custom bumper with the large intakes looks very similar to the Cayman GT4, while the straight character line is an improvement over the nose of the stock Model 3.

Tesla Model 3 Gets A Porsche Makeover With Cayman GT4 Bumper, Carbon Parts And More

The modifications to the Tesla Model 3 go beyond just the Cayman GT4 bumper, including a forged carbon hood with NACA-style air ducts like those seen on the GT4 RS, a new Tesla emblem resembling the Porsche crest, and BMW M-style mirror caps. The vehicle has been lowered and wrapped in a custom gold wrap, with aftermarket alloy wheels. The aggressive body kit includes a prominent rear spoiler, a pair of aftermarket LED taillights, and a rear diffuser. Inside, the EV features a yoke steering wheel with forged carbon inserts that match the hood.

The owner who goes under the name @qtrmle on Instagram, claims that this is the only Porsche-converted Tesla in the US, and the only one in the entire world with forged carbon parts.

Besides the unique bodykit, the 2018 Tesla Model 3 Long Range has upgraded performance, thanks to the ghost stage 2 kit from Canadian company Ingenext. The latter increases the power output of the dual electric motors, lowering the 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) time to 3.2 seconds. The owner told us that he has achieved an 11.6-second quarter mile with a top speed of 115.8 mph (186.4 km/h), and has 100k miles (160,000 km) on the odometer of the Porsche-faced Tesla with no issues.
