Hot on the heels of Lamborghini taking off the covers to the long-awaited Revuelto, the new Italian supercar has been filmed on public roads around Lamborghini’s Italian factory.

Spy shots and spy videos of the Revuelto were so abundant in the lead-up to the car’s unveiling that we already had a very good idea of what to expect from its design. Now that the covers have come off, Lamborghini has removed (most of) the camouflage from some prototypes, and YouTuber Varryx managed to spot one up close.

This particular Revuelto is painted in a bright shade of green and to our eyes, it works even better than the orange that the car was first showcased with. While some have questioned whether Lamborghini’s designers made the Revuelto as dramatic as its predecessors, we really don’t think that’s the case. Indeed, it looks as over-the-top as we would expect from any new V12-powered Lamborghini. Future high-performance variants will also be even more striking (and probably even more controversial).

The green paint really complements the rear fascia of the Lamborghini Revuelto and provides the perfect contrast to the black bumper and diffuser. We’re also particularly fond of the third brake light that has been incorporated into the rear of the roof panel. The LED taillights and high exhausts also make a bold statement.

Sitting beneath the skin of the Revuelto is a 6.5-liter naturally-aspirated V12 that powers the rear wheels and works together with two electric motors at the front axle and another one sitting within the new eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. The hybrid powertrain delivers a combined 1,001 hp, allowing the Revuelto to hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in 2.5 seconds, 124 mph (200 km/h) in less than 7 seconds, and a limited top speed of 217 mph (350 km/h).
