The Suzuki Jimny is one of the world’s most beloved, affordable, and capable off-roaders but the crew over at Delta 4×4 thought they could improve it. To do so, they’ve developed portal axles for the Jimny while making a raft of other upgrades.
Portal axles help to boost the ground clearance of a vehicle but aren’t particularly common, especially when it comes to production cars. Indeed, the current Mercedes-AMG G63 4×4² is the only current road-legal production car we’re aware of that uses them. While Delta 4×4 hasn’t specified if it developed the portal axles for the Jimny, what we do know is that they contribute to an extra 120 mm (4.7 inches) of ground clearance which has been boosted by a further 50 mm (1.9 inches) thanks to lifted springs.

Various other upgrades have been made. For example, the little Suzuki is rocking a set of 18-inch wheels wrapped in mud-terrain tires measuring 265/80 at all four corners. The German tuner has also fitted a set of flared wheel arches to accommodate these new wheels and tires. The Jimny also sports covers of the headlights and foglights while also featuring a snorkel and a powerful winch.
Delta4x4 has also set out to ensure that the Jimny is absolutely perfect for any arduous cross-country journeys that owners may embark on. As such, it has covers over the rear side windows, a roof rack with an LED light bar, and an awning that can be rolled out and set up.
Pricing details for Delta 4×4’s newly-developed portal axles for the Suzuki Jimny have yet to be released, but we don’t anticipate them being cheap.
