The Ford Bronco is one of the most sought-after off-roaders currently available, with many commanding significant premiums on the used car market. While some of these premiums may be justified, that might not be the case for this 2022 Bronco Wildtrak – unless you like your ride highly customized.
The example pictured here has been listed up for sale through Kendall Ford of Wasilla in Alaska with an eye-watering price tag of $79,988. To put that sum into perspective, a brand new 2023 Bronco Wildtrak can be purchased from $58,025.
So, what does the $21,000 premium get you? The main distinguishing feature of this particular Bronco Wildtrak is its overhauled front fascia, purchased from an aftermarket supplier. However, the new bumper, headlight surrounds, and grille are far from universally appealing. In fact, some might say they do the Ford no favors.
The previous owner of the Bronco also added a set of aftermarket wheels with blue and black spokes. While the owner may have thought that they nicely complemented the blue paint of the off-roader, some might argue that they make it look rather cheap.

Interestingly, the listing does not mention whether the standard wheels and front fascia will be included with the Bronco. However, it does note that the vehicle comes equipped with the Equipment Group 354A Lux Package. This package adds several features, including two USB charging ports, a 12-inch capacitive touchscreen, a heated steering wheel, adaptive cruise control, additional sound deadening, a wireless charging pad, a B&O Sound System, and a universal garage door opener.
While some might argue that the custom front fascia and bespoke wheels add a unique touch to the popular off-roader, others might find them downright tacky. Either way, it’s hard to justify the hefty $21,000 premium that the seller is asking for. Ultimately, it’s up to the buyer to decide whether the questionable modifications are worth the steep price tag. But for most, it’s probably best to stick with the standard model and save some cash for future adventures off-road.
