We happen to think that the Jeep Gladiator is one of the more outlandish pickup trucks currently on sale, sporting a design quite unlike any other truck that really makes it stand out. The Gladiator you’re looking at is even more eye-catching than most.

This particular Gladiator is known as the Custom Bandit Edition and is number 26 of a limited number of Bandit models built by a third-party manufacturer. This isn’t the first Gladiator Bandit we’ve come across as we first heard about the vehicle in early 2022. Mecum Auctions will look to sell this one at its Indy sales event running from May 12-20 where it will cross the auction block with no reserve.

The listing notes that this is number 26 of the Gladiator Custom Bandit Edition models built and like all the others, it has a number of exterior and interior modifications that immediately distinguish it from an old Gladiator. The most dramatic addition is the ‘Screaming Chicken’ motif on the hood made famous by the Pontiac Trans Am and finished in a sweet shade of bronze.

Various other parts of the pickup are rocking bronze-colored paint, including the front fog light surrounds, pinstripes running over the wheel arches and along the doors, as well as bronze Jeep badges. It also has ‘Bandit’ graphics on the hood and the rear quarter panels.

These distinctive touches continue into the cabin where the dashboard sports a new gold-colored finish that’s also been carried through the gear shifter surround. Embroidered logos have also been incorporated into the headrests. The listing notes that the Jeep also sits on aftermarket wheels wrapped in 38-inch tires and that this was the first ‘Bandit’ model with a convertible roof.
