Automobili Pininfarina is shaking things up with both management changes and a tantalizing teaser of its “next limited edition hyper GT” that will be unveiled this summer and help to mark the brand’s fifth anniversary. The company is keeping details under wraps, but hinted it will be an “exclusive” offering “designed for discerning collectors.”

The Italian company’s CEO, Paolo Dellacha, expressed his commitment to exceeding customer expectations in the future and shared his team’s enthusiasm for unveiling the first of several spectacular new cars for their growing client community this summer. “We will showcase a new dimension of our design creativity while honoring the legacy of the Pininfarina name,” said Dellacha.

That isn’t much to go on, but the model appears to follow in the footsteps of the limited edition Battista Anniversario that was introduced in 2020 and limited to five units. Unfortunately, we can’t see much besides a prominent rear wing.

Pininfarina Teases New Limited Edition Hyper GT, Debuts This Summer

Little is known about the model at this point, but the standard Battista has a 120 kWh battery pack that powers four electric motors developing a combined output of 1,874 hp (1,397 kW / 1,900 PS) and 1,726 lb-ft (2,340 Nm) of torque. This enables the model to rocket from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 1.86 seconds, hit a top speed of 217 mph (350 km/h), and travel up to 476 km in the WLTP cycle (300 miles under EPA).

Besides teasing the upcoming limited edition, Automobili Pininfarina announced Andrea Crespi has been promoted from ePowertrain and High Voltage Systems Director to Chief Technical Officer. He joined the company in 2018 after stints at Aston Martin and Maserati.

Crespi isn’t the only one moving up as Andrea Novello has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer from his current role as Production Director. He joined the company in 2018 after having worked at Maserati and Pininfarina S.p.A.
