Following the highly anticipated debut of the McLaren 750S, the British automaker has released a series of videos highlighting the features of their latest supercar. Although the 750S shares some obvious similarities with its predecessor, the 720S, McLaren maintains that every aspect of the car has been improved and evolved, making it a significant upgrade from its predecessor.

The first video is a digital animation created by artist Ash Thorp, which seamlessly blends digital graphics with footage of the car’s engine and other components, offering viewers an otherworldly glimpse into the capabilities of the 750S.

To the untrained eye, the new model may appear strikingly similar to its predecessor but a closer inspection reveals changes to its design. The aerodynamic package, lighting units, bumpers, and trim have all undergone a redesign, giving the vehicle a refreshed look. However, the most significant updates lie beneath the surface. The twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine has been upgraded to produce 740 horsepower (552 kW / 750 PS), while the chassis setup has been revamped with a focus on enhancing the car’s sharpness and driver engagement.

The mechanical upgrades are showcased in a video called “The relentless pursuit of perfection”. Jamie Corstorphine, Director of Product Strategy, takes us through the new chassis setup which includes lighter springs/dampers, faster steering, and a wider front track. In the same video, Chief Engineer Sandy Holford highlights the more powerful twin-turbo V8 engine, the upgraded exhaust system, the aerodynamic improvements, and the enhanced technology inside the cabin.

Another video shows the McLaren 750S in action on the track, with its striking orange paint and black inserts. Additionally, the CGI-generated footage presents the supercar in a sleek burgundy color. Finally, for those seeking a comprehensive overview, there’s an 8-minute-long video detailing everything you need to know about the latest addition to the McLaren range.

Some McLaren fans were expecting more changes compared to the outgoing model, while others argue that sticking to a proven formula, similar to Porsche‘s approach, was the right move. What do you think?
