The 2005-2006 Ford GT is a true American supercar great and prices of used examples have been on the rise as of late. This particular 2005 GT has an eye-watering price tag of $479,500 and while that’s an extraordinary sum, this is far from a normal GT.

The car has been listed up for sale through eBay courtesy of PC Classic Cars in Texas. It has been driven just 4,763 miles (7,665 km) since new and has been comprehensively modified by the experts over at Underground Racing.

This world-renowned tuner is known for building some of the craziest Ford GTs and Lamborghini models on the planet and with this GT, removed the original supercharger from the 5.4-liter V8 and fitted a pair of turbochargers instead. In addition, Underground Racing crafted new headers and a bespoke exhaust for the car and says the engine is now good for approximately 950 hp. This power is sent through the rear wheels courtesy of a six-speed Ricardo manual transmission.

Adorning the exterior of the Ford is a simple shade of gloss black but the car does have a matte black wrap on the front bumper, hood, and the rear decklid. It has also been equipped with a set of aftermarket wheels measuring 20-inch at the front and 21-inch at the rear with a black powder-coated finish. Wrapped around these wheels are 275/30 front and 355/25 rear tires.

It comes as little surprise that the interior appears to be in immaculate condition given how little the car has been driven over the past 18 years. The black leather on the seats and the magnesium used across the center console show very little wear. The seller also notes the car has a McIntosh audio system with subwoofers but we think the V8 produces a good enough soundtrack of its own.
