A host of upgrades have been made to the DS 9 for the 2023 model year, including the introduction of a new trim level as well as a host of luxurious new interior finishes and options. Sales of the 2023 DS 9 will start this month in all markets where it is currently available.
The most significant upgrade made for 2023 is the inclusion of the car manufacturer’s latest DS IRIS System multimedia system. This adopts a completely revised interface that can be configured and personalized by owners and also encompasses a natural voice recognition system. A 12-inch display comes standard and also houses the functions for the air conditioning system as well as a 360-degree camera view.
DS’s updated system also includes a Connected Navigation system that monitors traffic conditions and calculates the best routes in real-time. It also displays weather forecasts, places and prices of petrol locations, and the location of public car makers and charging stations. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay also come standard.

A new addition to the DS 9 range is the Opera time level. This flagship variant comes standard with a host of important equipment such as the company’s DS Active Scan Suspension camera-controlled damping system, an Extended Safety Pack with DS Drive Assist level 2 semi-autonomous driving, DS Driver Attention Monitoring, and DS Night Vision. There is also a thumping Focal Electra sound system, and a DS Lounge Pack for rear passengers.
DS has also equipped the cabin of the Opera model with plush Nappa leather on the seats with an embossed DS logo and leather across the center console and dashboard. Ruby Red and Art Basalt Black are offered for the cabin as is a Pebble Grey headliner finished in Alcantara.
The company’s Esprit De Voyage Collection has also been added to the 2023 DS 9. This collection features more interior finishes including seats finished in Pearl Grey Nappa leather. It also includes a Basalt Black grain leather steering wheel, a Basalt Black nappa leather dashboard, and a black Alcantara rear shelf. Esprit De Voyage models can have their exterior finished in either Crystal Pearl, Midnight Blue, Platinum Grey, or Perla Nera Black.
Two different powertrains are offered for the car. Sitting at the base of the range is the E-Tense 250 system that combines a 200 hp four-cylinder engine with a 110 hp electric motor. This model also has a 15.6 kWh battery pack and can travel up to 75 km (46 miles) on the WLTP combined cycle in EV mode. Sitting above this powertrain is the E-Tense 4×4 360 with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder producing 200 hp and supplemented by two electric motors, one with 110 hp and the other with 113 hp. It also has a 15.6 kWh battery and can travel 62 km (38 miles) on the WLTP combined cycle on electric power alone.
