Porsche Design has just unveiled a new limited edition of their Chronograph 1 wristwatch. Aptly called the 75 Years Porsche Edition, the timepiece is meant to celebrate—you guessed it—75 years of Porsche. The watch pays homage to the original Chronograph 1, which was released back in 1972 as Porsche Design‘s first product.
Production is limited to just 475 units, and each one retails for $11,000. That price is admittedly a bit steep, but it isn’t too far off from some other high-end automatic chronographs on the market. And the movement inside, Porsche Design’s Werk 01.140, is quite a solid option with a 48-hour power reserve and COSC certification.

Other specs of the Chronograph 1 include a 40.8 mm case diameter, a 14.15 mm case thickness, and 100 meters of water resistance. Some of its standout features are a titanium case, a sapphire crystal, an engraved “75 Years Porsche” logo on the caseback, and a winding rotor shaped like the iconic Fuchs alloy wheel with a colored Porsche crest at its center.
Two straps are available for the watch: an included black leather strap with black stitching, or a textile strap with a red stripe flanked by light blue stitching. The latter is meant to be in the colors of the 75 Years Porsche logo, but to us it gives off serious Martini racing vibes (which isn’t a bad thing). Switching between the two straps is made easy through the use of a quick-release system.
The Chronograph 1 75 Years Porsche Edition will go on sale on June 8, and it can be found on Porsche Design’s website.
