Automotive design can emphasize a lot of different features depending on the model and brand intention. While most make a sincere effort to provide good ergonomics, not all hit the mark. Which one manages to be the very best though?

Take for example the main focus of our question of the day today, the ergonomics of the center console and the infotainment system. That might not seem like a huge deal to everyone but for many people, including one of my close friends, it’s a major concern. They spend a lot of time on the road and they prefer a car that has a wide space for their right knee.

Take a quick look around modern vehicle interiors and one will find that the center console almost always limits that space. In fact, it’s a lack of options that don’t limit said space that led my buddy to buy a Toyota RAV4. Now that the RAV4 is almost out of warranty, my friend is shopping for what’s next.

Which New Car Has The Most Ergonomic Center Console And Infotainment System?

This QOTD isn’t limited to RAV4 rivals though. We want to hear what the most ergonomic car across the automotive landscape is. Our lead image, the Porsche Cayenne, is a decent example of a car that manages to blend comfort, ergonomics, and both physical and touch controls for its infotainment system.

According to Wards Auto, the BMW i7 has the best interior and UX design but does that make it the most ergonomic? That’s up to you to decide. Ergonomics is about making people efficient and comfortable in their working environment.

The top vehicles in this class need to emphasize both aspects even if their visual design isn’t as fresh or modern as some other rivals. To that end, I think I might pick something like the Mazda CX-90 or CX-50. True, both have a center console that limits knee room but each one feels very natural to sit in. The controls are placed where one rests their hand and they’re intuitive too.
