Ford Performance is quite busy lately, as a few weeks following the debut of the Mustang GT3 at Le Mans, they will show the Mustang GT4. The new racecar will premiere on June 28 at the Spa-Francorchamps Circuit in Belgium, before taking part in the IMSA, SRO, and FIA GT championships.

The Mustang GT4 was originally announced in October 2022 as one of the 5 racing versions of the seventh-generation pony car. Today, Ford published the first teaser of the GT4, revealing a portion of the front end.

Similar to the renderings from last year, the Mustang GT4 features a prominent front splitter, canards, a vented bonnet, and fenders, plus a new set of racing wheels shod in Pirelli slicks. The bright orange livery contrasts with the black-finished aero and body panels including the Dark Horse fascia and the bonnet.

Ford Performance developed the Mustang GT4 in collaboration with longtime partner Multimatic Motorsports that will also undertake the vehicle’s production for private customers and teams – just like the previous generation which debuted in 2017. The company didn’t reveal the performance specifications of the new GT4 but said that the racecar is based on the Dark Horse variant of the production model.

Ford Performance will bring both the new Mustang GT4 and the new Mustang GT3 to Spa in Belgium, while its director, Mark Rushbrook, and the SRO President, Stephane Ratel will attend the event.
