Hennessey Performance has just launched a comprehensive upgrade package for the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing, making it even more powerful and even forcing a few supercar owners to question their vehicle purchases.
In a bid to give the CT5-V Blackwing even more power, Hennessey started off by porting the cylinder heads of the 6.2-liter supercharged V8 while also fitting enhanced intake and exhaust valves, improved lifters and pushrods, oversized heat exchangers, and installing long-tube stainless steel headers. The super sedan also features a custom camshaft, an upgraded fuel system, a new air intake, and high-flow catalytic converters.

The standard supercharger has also been removed and replaced with a larger one engineered by Hennessey itself. The result? A Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing with the Hennessey H1000 package is now good for 1,000 hp and 966 lb-ft (1,309 Nm) of torque, a massive gain over the 668 hp and 659 lb-ft (893 Nm) of the standard car. Hennessey claims its creation can run down the quarter-mile in just 10.1 seconds.
“Cadillac’s CT5-V Blackwing, fitted with GM’s supercharged LT4, was a natural candidate for our EXORCIST upgrade as it improves power considerably without affecting drivability,” John Hennessey described. “Resurrected as an ‘H1000’, the four-door Cadillac is the fastest combustion-only luxury sedan on the planet. It is a rare high-water mark in a segment that will vanish by the decade’s end.”
Each CT5-V Blackwing modified by Hennessey includes a 2-year, 24,000-mile limited warranty but as of yet, pricing details haven’t been announced. What we do know is that production of the upgrade package will start in August.
