Video from Southwest Miami-Dade has caught the attention of many, as a wild police chase ended in a dramatic crash. Thanks to a Tesla dashcam, we have multiple angles of the finale providing a shocking visual account of the events. The fleeing suspect is facing a number of charges after somehow surviving the brutal crash.

Police in the Sunshine State initially pulled over the driver of a black RAM pickup truck as part of a narcotics investigation. As they approached the vehicle, the 39-year-old driver took off and began to lead police on a chase through South Florida. In the process of beginning the chase, authorities say that he attempted to hit one of the detectives and struck one police car.

The pursuit ended when the driver lost control of the truck and hit a white Nissan Sentra in traffic. The small sedan then rammed into the back of a black Tesla. Thankfully, that same Tesla had video cameras recording the entire incident. In that footage, we see how things went from bad to worse for the suspect.

After hitting the Nissan, the RAM rolls at full speed over onto its roof while in the middle of the road. The forward-facing video camera on the Tesla shows the truck sliding dozens of yards before it hits a curb and a light pole. Police say that once they apprehended the driver they also found cocaine, marijuana, and a handgun in his vehicle.

When they conducted a search of his home they found more drugs including oxycodone along with an AR-15 rifle. The suspect survived the crash with serious injuries that required him to go to the hospital. After his release from the medical facility, he was taken to jail and is now facing a barrage of felony charges.

Authorities say that a woman driving the Nissan was in stable condition after also going to the hospital. A man, a woman, and a baby in the Tesla at the time of the crash received medical attention but did not require a hospital visit.
