All future Acura models starting with the 2024 ZDX will feature premium audio systems from Bang & Olufsen thanks to a new collaboration between the two companies.
Bang & Olufsen is one of the most well-known audio brands and develops systems for carmakers including Aston Martin, Audi, Ford, Lamborghini, Genesis, and Bentley. The Danish brand combines acoustics, design and craftsmanship in all of its audio systems and Acura says the ZDX will harness “the latest technologies to deliver a supremely elevated audio experience.”

“As we take the Acura brand and our products to the next level, we want to make sure the audio experience also deliveries on our concept of being a ‘destination brand’,” Acura National Sales assistant vice president Emile Korkor said. “This new collaboration with Bang & Olufsen will achieve exactly that, further exciting our clients as Acura enters the electrified era starting with ZDX.”
Bang & Olufsen forms part of HARMAN – itself a subsidiary of Samsung – that owns brands including the likes of AKG, Karman Kardon, Infinity, JBL, Lexicon, Mark Levinson, and Revel. Its systems are found in more than 50 million cars currently on the road.
“Acura and Bang & Olufsen are equally driven to deliver unparalleled performance and memorable experiences, and we’re excited to kick off our new long-term partnership that will set a new precedent for in-vehicle audio and technology for years to come as we collaborate on future Acura products,” HARMAN global marketing vice president Tim Rivers said.
Both the regular Acura ZDX and the high-performance ZDX will feature Bang & Olufsen audio. The ZDX itself will share many of its components with the 2024 Honda Prologue and could offer performance to match or even exceed that of the Chevrolet Blazer EV which has up to 557 hp. It remains uncertain how large the ZDX’s battery pack will be but the SUV should have a range of up to 320 miles (510 km).
