Soon after we published the first photos of the Lamborghini Huracan’s successor being put through its paces, the same prototype has been filmed on the move and has us very excited to see what the Italian marque has cooked up.
It is painfully obvious that the successor to the Huracan will sport a dramatic new design that will share some commonalities with its big brother the Revuelto. One of the most obvious similarities between this new car and the Revuelto is that it has a similar engine cover and a small vertical rear window. Additionally, the exhaust system is mounted high up on the rear fascia just like the Revuelto although unlike it, the Huracan’s successor has just one large tailpipe as opposed to two.

The similarities between the two continue at the rear where the bumper and diffuser have been designed in such a way that we are provided with an excellent view of the rear tires. It makes for a very mean and purposeful look and will ensure the car stands out from its rivals.
The front end of the new supercar will also be quite unlike the Huracan. We can see that it is rocking slim and angular headlights and also has a hood with sharp and pronounced creases.
Then we get to the engine. While many were holding out hope that the car would retain Lamborghini’s beloved 5.2-liter naturally-aspirated V10 and pair it with a plug-in hybrid system, that doesn’t seem to be the case. The relatively muted sound of this prototype has led many to suggest it has a twin-turbocharged V8, although it is a little too early to say for certain. What we do know is that it will be paired with a plug-in hybrid system that should give the car around 850 hp, enough to give the 819 hp Ferrari 296 GTB something to worry about.
