Subaru has finally gotten around to releasing details about the 2024 BRZ tS, following its debut at Subiefest this weekend.
Set to arrive at U.S. dealerships early next year, the model aims to deliver the “best performance and handling capability in a BRZ ever.”
Before you get too excited, the upgrades are minor and include an STI-tuned suspension with Hitachi dampers. These promise to “maximize its light weight, ultra-low center of gravity and precision handling, resulting in greater flexibility and better control and stability.”

Besides the revamped suspension, the model rides on 18-inch wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires. They’re backed up by a high-performance Brembo braking system that features gold-painted calipers as well as larger pads and rotors.
Speaking of styling tweaks, there isn’t much to set the BRZ tS apart. However, there’s special badging as well as Crystal Black Silica paint on the mirrors and antenna.
Bigger changes occur in the cabin as there’s sport seats with exclusive blue stitching and a blue leather center accent. Buyers will also find blue accents on the leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter.
Additional changes are limited, but the model features a STI-branded start button and a 7-inch digital instrument cluster with exclusive graphics. Since the tS is based on the Limited trim, buyers will also find Brin Naub accents, a dual-zone automatic climate control system, and an eight-speaker audio system. Other highlights include LED headlights, Blind-Spot Detection with Lane Keep Assist, and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert.
Speaking of safety, the EyeSight driver assistance system is now standard on models with a manual transmission. That’s a first and it means all manual 2024 BRZs will have Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure and Sway Warning, Lead Vehicle Start Alert, and a Pre-Collision Braking System.
Despite the focus on performance, the naturally aspirated 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine carries over and continues to produce 228 hp (170 kW / 231 PS). It’s connected to a six-speed manual, which sends power to the rear wheels via a limited-slip differential.
Pricing will be announced later this year, but we can expect the tS to carry a healthy premium over the BRZ Limited. That particular model starts at $31,095 for 2023 so we wouldn’t be surprised if the 2024 BRZ tS comes in around $33,000 or more.
