After taking this BMW X6 to Manhart for a not-so-subtle personality change, the owner of the car figured Carlex Design were the ones to call when it was time to upgrade the interior.
Lucky them, that’s exactly what Carlex does best. The Polish tuner has been known to dress up a cabin or two in plush and expensive materials, while also using contrast stitching and piping to their heart’s content. The results are often spectacular.
While Manhart will apply their own touch to the interior, it’s usually just custom badges, a few inserts here and there, nothing too dramatic. Still, before we get to the cabin, let’s look at everything else.
Changes are more than just skin deep
The body kit is part of Manhart’s MHX6 800 tune, which brings with it updated bumpers, a vented hood, custom rear diffuser, a trunk lid spoiler, and side skirts, most of which are made from carbon fiber (except for the hood which only features carbon fiber inserts).
On the performance front, the MHX6 800 ups the ante on the German SUV’s 4.4-liter twin turbo V8 engine, boosting output to 823 horses and 811 lb-ft (1,100 Nm).
As for the cabin, to make this car look and feel even more special, Carlex added a plethora of high quality materials, from perforated leather to Alcantara and even carbon fiber. There’s large amounts of yellow contrast stitching and piping, as well as a yellow stripe running across the sun visor, mirroring the gold one outside.
