The Jeep Wrangler 4xe has proven to be a huge hit for the car manufacturer. In fact, it was the best-selling plug-in hybrid in the U.S. in both 2021 and 2022. Last year, some 23% of all Wrangler models sold in the U.S. were 4xe models and in the first quarter of this year, sales jumped by 72%, meaning it now accounts for 38% of all Wrangler sales.

Jeep believes the Wrangler 4xe has proven to be so popular because it has all the same off-road credentials as a typical gas-powered Wrangler but with the added benefit of improved performance and efficiency. Power comes from a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine paired with two electric motors to deliver a combined 375 hp and 470 lb-ft (637 Nm) of torque.
