A teaser video of the upcoming Audi E-Tron Vision Gran Turismo has been published by the German automaker on Facebook.

The video details the design process of the vehicle at the home of Audi Sport. While the car is being created exclusively for a video game, that doesn’t mean Audi has skimped on details when designing it.

As a matter of fact, the teaser reveals senior Audi designers bringing the car to life and making something fitting of a staring role in Gran Turismo Sport.

From what we can tell, the E-Tron Vision Gran Turismo will be a two-door race car with a towering rear wing and a low-slung profile. The teaser offers a few glimpses of the vehicle on the racetrack and reveals that it will have LED headlights and a futuristic interior unlike any current Audi production cars.

The concept will be released on April 9.

Compared to most major automakers, Audi is extremely late to the Vision Gran Turismo party. In fact, most of its rivals have released eye-catching concepts for either Gran Turismo Sport or its predecessor, Gran Turismo 6. Some of the companies to reveal such concepts include Bugatti, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Hyundai, Chevrolet, Subaru, Infiniti, Lexus, Peugeot, Volkswagen, Mazda, and even Alpine.
