The NB-generation of the Mazda MX-5 is one of the most iconic of them all and we may have just stumbled across the perfect aftermarket bodykit for it. The only problem is that this kit only exists in the virtual world but that doesn’t mean a tuner couldn’t bring it to life someday.
This wild MX-5 has been created by pistonzero on YouTube and looks exceptionally aggressive. We have little doubt that it would be too over-the-top for many Mazda purists but as a means of making a statement, it is hard to fault.
Kicking off the changes is a dramatic new front fascia. The upgrades made to it include a new grille with angular air intakes on either side. It is also rocking an aggressive front splitter and has a set of new headlights with distinctive daytime running lights. Our favorite aspect of the car’s front is the flared wheel arches which flow beautifully out from the edges of the headlights and curve down toward the base of the front bumper. Aerodynamic fins are also visible on the outer edges of the bumper.

Pistonzero’s modifications to the car continue on the sides where there are carbon fiber splitters and a set of black wheels from HRE. The Mazda has also been imagined with a set of enlarged brake rotors and calipers. Then we get to the rear.
Like the front, the rear half of the car stands out thanks to the flared arches. It has then been imagined with a large lip spoiler on the trunk lid as well as taillight surrounds similar in shape to those up front. There is also a new bumper incorporating a diffuser and an F1-inspired rain light.
