Lucid has announced a series of price cuts to the all-electric Air and while it still remains a very expensive sedan, shoppers now stand to save as much as $12,400.

The price cuts start with the most affordable version of the Air, known as the Pure. Whereas it had previously been available from $87,400, that price has now been cut to $82,400, representing a $5,000 saving. Lucid has also cut the prices for both the Air Touring and Air Grand Touring by $12,400. This means the Air Touring’s MSRP drops from $107,400 to $95,000 while the Air Grand Touring’s sticker price has dropped from $138,000 to $125,600.

Interested shoppers should place an order as soon as possible as Lucid says the price cuts will only be available while supplies last and it isn’t known how long that will be.

Those looking to lease also have an enticing new 36-month option. This deal is only available for August and allows shoppers to get behind the wheel of an Air Pure for $749 a month, an Air Touring for $1,149 per month, and a Grand Touring for $1,399 per month.

The announcement of these price cuts comes a few weeks after Lucid revealed that it built 2,173 vehicles during the second quarter of the year and delivered 1,404 vehicles over the same period. The second quarter was also important for Lucid as it was the first quarter when it started exporting vehicles to Saudi Arabia, the nation where it will construct a new factory and where it is getting much of its funding from.

The price cuts put the Lucid Air in a better position to rival the Model S. In fact, the Air Pure is now considerably cheaper than the Model S Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive which starts at $88,490. Tesla’s Model S continues to be topped out by the tri-motor Plaid that starts at $108,490.
