One hundred examples of the 2024 Nissan Z Nismo are bound for Australian shores during its initial delivery run, each carrying a near-AU$20,000 ($13,102) premium over the standard Z but still undercutting the flagship Toyota Supra 3.0 GTS.

A plethora of upgrades separate the Z Nismo from the standard model and while we’ve yet to drive it, we have high hopes. Among the most significant upgrades made include a boost in power, bringing the car up to 309 kW (420 hp) and 520 Nm (384 lb-ft), as well as a retuned nine-speed automatic transmission powering the rear wheels. Nissan has also fitted new stabilizer bars, a stiffer spring rate, retuned dampers, wider and lighter wheels, and new chassis bracing.

Nissan Australia has confirmed that the Z Nismo will set back shoppers AU$94,000 ($61,579) before on-road costs. That represents a premium over the AU$87,000 ($56,993) plus on-road costs commanded by the Toyota Supra 3.0 GT but is less than the flagship $102,000 ($66,820) Supra GTS.

Nissan Australia Prices 2024 Z Nismo From AU$94,000

Interestingly, the carmaker has started to contact local customers awaiting delivery of their standard Z model with the opportunity to transfer their order to the Z Nismo. All other buyers can place an order online and choose to have the car finished in either Black Diamond Metallic, Brilliant Silver with a Super Black roof, Everest White with a Super Black Roof, or Stealth Gray with a Black roof.

“The Z NISMO is a true sports car flagship, with Nissan’s engineers leaving no stone unturned in their pursuit of performance,” Nissan Australia managing director Adam Paterson said. “We wanted to extend our thanks to those already awaiting their Z by offering them a chance to secure a Z NISMO, while still ensuring this special vehicle is made available to Z fans across the country. There are going to be even more very happy Z fans across Australia, and I can’t wait to see the Z NISMO join the Z Coupe and Z Proto on Australian roads.”

The standard Z has also been updated for 2024 and is now offered with a blue interior and a new exterior color dubbed New Site Orange. Prices for this version start at AU$75,800 ($49,656) excluding on-road costs.
