The 2024 model year updates continue to roll in as Chrysler has announced a handful of changes to the Pacifica and Pacifica Plug-In Hybrid.

While the updates aren’t earth shattering, the minivan features a revised color palette that includes Baltic Gray and Red Hot. The range-topping Pacifica Pinnacle now comes equipped with sepia quilted Nappa leather seats with Light Diesel contrast stitching and Sydney Gray piping. Last but not least, the van has a new emergency vehicle alert system that provides notifications of ambulances and fire trucks responding to emergencies.

The changes to the Pacifica Plug-In Hybrid are more notable as Chrysler is slashing the lineup. While the current model offers Touring L, Limited, and Pinnacle trims, the 2024 van will only be available in Select and Pinnacle guise.

The Pacifica Plug-In Hybrid Select appears to be an evolution of the previous Touring L trim and it comes equipped with LED headlights, power sliding doors, and a power liftgate. The model also has acoustic glass, rain-sensing wipers, and 17-inch wheels with a two-tone finish.

Moving inside, the Select has a heated leather steering wheel and heated leatherette front seats with eight-way power adjustment on the driver’s side. They’re joined by a 7-inch cluster display and a 10.1-inch infotainment system. The van also has second-row captain’s chairs, a “super console” with illuminated cup holders, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. Buyers will also find a six-speaker audio system and a tri-zone climate control system.

On the safety front, the van has Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go, Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning-Plus, and Blind-Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Path Detection. Other standard safety features on the Select trim include Lane Departure Warning-Plus, ParkSense Rear, and Pedestrian Automatic Emergency Braking.

Chrysler Slashes 2024 Pacifica PHEV Lineup To Two Trims

The 2024 Pacifica has a 3.6-liter V6 developing 287 hp (214 kW / 291 PS) and 262 lb-ft (355 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to a nine-speed automatic transmission, which can be paired to an optional all-wheel drive system.

The Pacifica Plug-In Hybrid also has a 3.6-liter V6 engine, but it’s accompanied by two electric motors and a 16 kWh battery pack. This setup gives the van a combined output of 260 hp (194 kW / 264 PS) and an electric-only range in excess of 30 miles (48 km).

Chrysler didn’t release pricing, but the 2023 Pacifica starts at $37,620 while the plug-in hybrid begins at $51,095. The latter isn’t cheap, but the model is eligible for a $7,500 federal tax credit.
