To celebrate the sale of its 100th GR Supra GT4 racecar, Toyota has given itself a little latitude, and created a no-rules track day car. Since it’s purely a toy, the automaker will build just three examples, making it one of the rarest vehicles it has ever made.
Sporting Plasma Orange paint, the car is based on the GT4 model. However, since it didn’t have to adhere to GT4 racing rules, Toyota was allowed to give it a bigger hood scoop to feed the 444 hp (331 kW/450 PS), 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbocharged engine.
The engineers also want customers to have a better soundtrack on their drives, and have fitted a new exhaust system that has no muffler to the car. That, Toyota says, is intended to “amplify the satisfying, throaty roar” of the engine.

The Supra also gets carbon fiber side mirrors, new dive plane aero devices for better front end grip, endurance LED headlights, and a passenger seat, so that you can take your buddies for a ride. It also gets a Power Stick that governs the power output of the engine that will be finished in Plasma Orange, just like the car.
Inside, the three lucky owners will be greeted by embroidered “100 Edition” logos on their seats, and a unique badge on the dashboard. The same logo will be found on the custom car cover that has been designed to keep your car safe when you aren’t at the track.
The new, ultra-limited model’s exterior was inspired by the road legal GR Supra “GT4 100th Edition Tribute,” which are also limited, but to 100 examples in Europe. By contrast, Toyota is producing just one GR Supra GT4 “100 Edition” for Europe, one for Asia, and one for North America.
How buyers will be selected is not made clear, but Toyota plans to charge €220,000 ($235,482 USD at current exchange rates) for the car.
